For years, crocheting was seen as a summer passtime. However, it brings so much joy that we want to keep it going through the winter too! Thankfully, todays soft and cozy yarns deliver the perfect blend of warmth and comfort, even for those chunky crochet pieces.

What else is new? For some time now, we’ve been working with ribbed bands, adding neat elastic finishes to necklines and hems. This time, we’ve paired a crochet jacket with knitted sleeves – creating a bold and fresh new look (page 22). In the same spirit, classic granny squares often get a creative touch too.

Many designs still retain the signature crochet hippie charm, connecting us to the spirit of the 1970s - love & peace, freedom, awakening and the lightness of being. It’s a vibe that brings happiness, and one we could really use, especially in winter.
