My name is Alex, I am the founder of sinchens – originally a lawyer, but during a challenging phase of life I returned to knitting and realized how powerful this craft truly is. A few years ago, I opened a small yarn shop in the heart of Fürth. I soon discovered that my systematic way of thinking and writing helped many people better understand knitting. That led me to publish more and more patterns. After many individual designs, thanks to Lana Grossa, I was able to create a magazine with a true passion project for you – the one you now hold in your hands!

This magazine is not about which yarn matches your pattern, or which pattern fits your yarn. It’s about choosing yarns based on your personal preferences: Which colors speak to you? Which material feels right and matches your style? In this magazine you’ll find 2 designs with a classic raglan yoke – a SWEATER and a JACKET. The special part: Both are worked seamlessly top-down and have been calculated for you in 5 different gauges (from 15 stitches to 24 stitches per 10 cm). That means you can dive straight into the right pattern – no more recalculating or switching sizes. “Knitting should be simple and stylish – without pressure and without hurdles.”
